They have been replaced by our new product, GLARE GON PLUS, which combines the functions of both in a single product. GLARE GON PLUS can clean and protect screens, displays, and lenses as well as scanner flatbeds and other glass surfaces. GLARE GON PLUS is available at no increase in price and can be mixed and matched with other products.

CLEAR SCAN© Flatbed cleaner has been discontinued in favor of GLARE GON PLUS© Screen and Flatbed Cleaner.

CONTACT!© Contact cleaner is environment-friendly, quick drying and residue-free. CONTACT!© dissolves organic and inorganic grease, flux, condensation and other contaminants and corrosion from electrical contacts, thereby improving electrical connections. CONTACT!© has also been shown to be effective in the removal of most label and adhesive residues. CONTACT!© can be used on PC Boards, battery contacts, switches (including individual contacts under keyboard keys that stick), and many other components. CONTACT!© has applications not only for computers, but for any electrical or electronic equipment where normal maintenance dictates that contacts be cleaned regularly, or where intermittent problems exist. As with any contact cleaner, the customer should verify suitability for their own application before releasing it for general use.

DISSIPATE-DRY© Dry antistatic spray dissipates electrical charge and thereby minimizes electrostatic discharge (ESD), a major cause of electronic component failure. DISSIPATE-DRY© can also be used to separate pages that have been output from a copier, fax, or printer or to pre-treat paper prior to using it in a copier, fax, or printer. DISSIPATE-DRY© helps eliminate electrical charges created by brushing against carpets, upholstery, drapes and other materials. DISSIPATE-DRY© protects against static build-up and dust attraction. DISSIPATE-DRY© is safe to spray around computers, electronic equipment, printing and photo equipment and plastic surfaces. DISSIPATE-DRY© will not discolor or otherwise harm treated areas. Disconnect equipment before use.

DUST BUSTER PLUS© is our most popular product. It is environment-friendly, leaves no residue and contains no CFCs or HCFCs. Unlike most blowers on the market today, DUST BUSTER PLUS© is NON FLAMMABLE. DUST BUSTER PLUS© blows dust and other particles out of hard to reach areas in data processing, photographic and A/V equipment as well as media for data storage, A/V recording, and photography / graphics. It is packed in a compact can which contains a full 10 ounces by weight (284 grams) of product.

GLARE GON© Screen cleaner has been discontinued in favor of GLARE GON PLUS© Screen and Flatbed Cleaner.

GLARE GON PLUS© (New – Combines the functions of Glare Gon and Clear Scan) - When used as instructed, this breakthrough screen and flatbed cleaner safely removes fingerprints, dirt and lint from computer screens and other displays as well as from flatbed surfaces of scanners, copiers, fax machines and other scanning equipment. GLARE GON PLUS© reduces glare while it cleans the screen and is safe and effective with most flat panel displays as well as CRTs and VDTs. When buffed with our lint free wipes, GLARE GON PLUS© leaves a protective coating which helps prevent future contamination. Attempts to position or remove documents or photos from the glass bed of a scanner are likely to leave fingerprints, smudges, dirt, and other contamination. This contamination may not only cause eventual corrosion, but can also block light to some degree and interfere with the quality of the final image. By removing opaque or translucent contamination GLARE GON PLUS© can improve image quality and OCR effectiveness. Other uses include cleaning lenses.

McCLEAN© Console cleaner has been discontinued in favor of our EPA registered Germicides (see below).

REFRESH© Air freshener is a lemon scented room deodorizer that helps create a more pleasant work environment. REFRESH© neutralizes and removes unwanted odors and replaces them with a pleasant lemon scent. REFRESH© is ideal for use in laboratories, offices, schools, libraries, computer installations, gyms, and other areas where odors that can reduce comfort in a working environment might be present.

RENEW© Computer furniture rejuvenator effectively cleans, preserves, and protects delicate or antique shelving and wood surfaces such as computer furniture and library stacks. RENEW© helps reduce dust, dirt and static charge buildup, which are major causes of failure in computers and other electronic equipment.

RESTORE© Vandal mark remover cleans most marks or spills from graffiti, paint, marker, crayon, tar, etc. that were intentionally or accidentally applied to unpainted metal, ceramic, or rock surfaces ranging from equipment housings to outside walls. Because RESTORE© can remove paint and dissolve some types of synthetic material please be sure to test it by trying a small quantity in a hidden area of any painted, plastic, enameled or other synthetic material.

EPA REGISTERED GERMICIDES

A recent study concluded that contact with bacteria was 400 times more likely in an office environment than in a public restroom.

As a service to our customers, Carson Industries supplies EPA registered germicides (these are not Carson products but are highly recommended by Carson Industries) There are two foams (fresh scent and floral scent) and two sprays (fresh scent and lemon scent). These products clean, disinfect, and deodorize simultaneously. They kill most germs.

Carson Industries at one time offered its own disinfectant in their product line, however a competitor offered a product intended for use in health institutions that was found to be effective against a wider variety of germs. Carson discontinued its own disinfectant and, as a service to Carson's customers, offered the competitor's product as a substitute. It proved to be very popular and Carson has now expanded its disinfectant offering to four different products, all made by Claire. While these are not Carson products, they can be mixed and matched on any order for Carson standard products or ordered in germicide kits in any combination of germicides without Carson products.

A germicide or disinfectant is essential wherever equipment is shared. Computer keyboards and mice, telephone handsets, doorknobs and other shared office equipment and furniture can be a significant source of potentially harmful bacteria and other germs. While it is impossible to prevent coughs, sneezes, unwashed hands, and other sources of germs from reaching your equipment, you can help prevent them from causing health problems by disinfecting shared equipment and other hard non-porous surfaces.

All disinfectants offered by Carson are EPA registered. Previously these products were not available in some states, but now they are available in all US states. There are two disinfectant foams and two disinfectant sprays. The foams are packaged in large 20 fluid ounce cans that contain a full 19 ounces (539 grams) by weight of product.

These fresh scented and lemon scented sprays and fresh scented and floral scented foams are known to be effective against most germs, including bacteria, viri, and fungi. They control mold and mildew. Each germicide is known to be effective in all three of the following categories although not necessarily against all germs within a category.

ANTIVIRAL CLEANERS – These germicides are known to kill influenza A2/Hong Kong Virus/Japan Virus, Vaccinia (Pox Virus), Adenovirus Type 2 Virus (cause of respiratory infections including the common cold), HIV-1 Virus (AIDS cause), and Herpes Simplex Virus Types 1 and 2 on non-porous surfaces. They also clean and deodorize while they disinfect.

ANTIBACTERIAL CLEANERS – These germicides can provide protection against most common bacteria including but not limited to E-Coli, Klebsiella Pneumoniae, Salmonella Choleraesius, Staphylococcus Aureus (including the Methicillin resistant strain), Streptococcus Pyrogenes, and Vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus Faecalis, some Pseudomonads, and Mycobacterium Tuberculosis.

ANTIFUNGAL CLEANERS – These products can provide protection against Trichophyton Mentagrophites (Athletes Foot fungus), yeast infections such as Candida Albicans, and may provide protection against some molds, mildews, and other fungi.

Carson’s LINT FREE WIPES are the ideal way to apply Carson’s foams and sprays. These reusable wipes are friendly to flat panel displays. They can be ordered in a kit or separately.

ORDERING INFORMATION

Packages of Germicides and Carson products can be custom prepared to meet your specific needs. You can order a kit which contains any combination of Germicides and Carson Products (the minimum is two cans). Each kit will contain the number of cans of product you require and additional lint free wipes. The price of the kit is determined by the number of cans and wipes it contains. When ordering, simply indicate the products that you want included in the package and the number of cans of each product.

Carson is pleased to introduce the new CARSON SUPER PACK, which is available in two options. Super Pack 1 includes 12 cans of any mix of products and 200 wipes. Super Pack 2 includes 14 cans of any mix of products and 120 wipes.
